Here's a nifty male gentilis from a locality that regularly produces animals that have a butter-yellow background. He's quite a looker in person, with a net-like pattern of black that shows through between his scales.

Nice looking gentilis there Cole! It's been a while since I have seen some with the yellowish bands. Always liked them better. You can notice the black webbing more so towards the tail.

He's about 20 years old. Pretty cool - he's still going strong! I hope to breed him in 2013.

mmmm, gentilis. I've had that one in hand a few times and the black netting under its scales is an interesting effect. Nice one Cole, and the saddle count makes an impression in that photo too.
