Stuck eye cap or damaged eye?

Barker Feb 19, 2012 01:13 PM

My female shed and had a stuck eye cap. I soaked her and let her wander through the towel as she dried. It didn't do anything so I took a q-tip and gently rubbed her eye with it. Eye cap came off but her eye still is very wrinkled. I was wondering does she have another stuck cap, was there some damage I or the removed cap did to her eye, or is it just something that will go away now that the stuck one is removed.

Here are the pics

I have had that happen before. I would wait for her to shed again and see what it looks like. When this happened to me, it went away after another shed or two. If you got the eye shed off, I definitely would not try to remove another layer.

When I get stuck sheds over the eye, I generally use a pair of tweezers to grab it off (very carefully). I have also heard of people using tape, but I havn't had luck with that.
