the legacy of Joseph T. Collins

DMong Feb 21, 2012 04:16 PM

I was very shocked to find out that the renowned Joseph T. Collins passed away last month, and never even knew this. I happened to be researching some other things the other night and found out about his sudden passing on Jan, 12 2012..........very sad.

I have corresponded with him a few times personally some years ago back in 2005 regarding South Florida Mole kingsnakes (L.c.occipitolineata).

He will be greatly missed by countless many for his huge contributions to herpetoculture.

Thank you for posting that link Cindy, and bringing Andy's great contributions to our attention as well. His passing is very sad to hear as well.

Those two guy's were very key people to the world of herpetology, and will certainly be missed very much.

regards, ~Doug
