the legacy of Joseph T. Collins

DMong Feb 21, 2012 04:24 PM

I was very shocked to find out that the renowned Joseph T. Collins passed away last month, and never even knew this. I happened to be researching some other things the other night and found out about his sudden passing on Jan, 12 2012..........very sad.

I have corresponded with him a few times personally some years ago back in 2005 regarding South Florida Mole kingsnakes (L.c.occipitolineata).

He will be greatly missed by countless many for his huge contributions to herpetoculture.

Doug,

I hear you, buddy. I got the message the morning after his passing. He'll be missed, no doubt. Here's a tribute video you might enjoy:

Thanks Cole,......yes, I saw that video before I made my post. Ross Padilla on the king forum also posted the cool video. I knew that you would be one of the very few to acknowledge this post and know exactly who he was right off the bat...

He sure did dedicate his entire life to the world of herpetology, so hat's off to people like Joseph T. Collins AND you my friend.......
