Fresh from a shed and chillin' out on the kitchen table while I inspect the shed for the eye scales. She's already 22" and easy to handle... have high hopes for this one.

Very nice Gerry. Glad to hear you do the "proper thing" and inspect for eye scales. Overlooked by some and an important thing to do.
Joe
hate to say it but... it took the polyz for me to really start looking at the sheds of all my snakes... seems that one or the other of those two polyz will retain a cap each shed... I go to pains to keep the humidity up but... eye cap, eye cap, eye cap, arrggghhhh!
Gerry
Gerry, what I do when I know a snake is going into shed mode and it is not quite himid enough or they are not in a "humid-hide" to ensure that doesn't happen, I'll lift up the plastic hide they ARE under and spray it real good with a fine misting bottle, then the snake itself once or twice and also spray the heck out of the enclosure lid if they have one (and it isn't a lidless rack container). If this is done about two days AFTER the eyes TOTALLY clear up again from being blue/opaque, they always shed without a hitch.

after my first run in with eye caps on those two I've done pretty much what you've suggested... but still one of them seems to retain a cap... only good point to it all is I get to spend a little more time handling that particular poly.
Gerry
still waiting to see photos of your... fairly certain I have them already, just don't know which ones you've picked out.
Gerry
They'll be in my posession real soon, but not just yet.
I do have pics of them, but not one's I have taken personally. I'll post a couple when the time comes though..
