I work with some generic polyzona in addition to everything else. They're cool animals, though they bite like nobody's business! I acquired this adult female from an importer in 2003.

She was bred to a phenotypically similar male (black and red with a broken snout band limited to the nasal area) from Jimmy Mabe lineage to produce a number of clutches. It is suspected that Mabe's lines of abnorma and polyzona got a bit "confused" during breeding, so the sire was chosen based phenotype. Then again, without good locality info., all we have to go on when breeding milks is phenotype anyhow. Below are a few of their progeny.
