Nice looking snake! I really like meansi, too. They're the only non-thayeri snakes I keep. The only trouble I have is keeping up with their appetites -- they're eating machines!

The female I purchased from Scott at Uwharrie Reptiles about 4 years ago -- the male I picked up from some guy (can't recall his name) at the Hamburg Reptile Show in eastern PA about a year and a half ago. The male was labeled as a "blaze goini" and lighter and has more orange coloration than the female from Uwharrie. They are both laid back individuals (when it's not feeding time) and they seem to have some personality -- they are certainly alert! The female has just over 4 feet and the male, which is younger, isn't much over 2 feet. Needless to say, it will be awhile before the male grow large enough to seem to the female to be more of a mate than an entree!
