Too late in the breeding season?

ohernz Feb 24, 2012 05:16 AM

A friend of mine has an adult female that looks "different" almost like a Het Red Axanthic. I have bred her with normals and pastels before. Her offspring always looks "different". I have kept one of her sons that is a nice black back (well, now is more of a "brown back", lots of blushing on the back). I bred this male this season to two of his sisters by the same mother. My friend gave me the mother back a couple of weeks ago to try to breed her to her son. They have been together for almost a week, and nothing has happened. Neither the male nor the female show any interest in mating...Is it too late in the season?

hmm what do you think might be going on? might he be too tired after mating with two other females? She doesn't seem interested either...

Maybe he is just not interested........seperate......feed......pair......repeat.......this is not easy, and FAR from automatic........sometimes things take time.....
