This one has been anything but well behaved, musked almost every time I've handled it and was even bitten about two weeks ago... until then I've only been bitten by an African Rock... she's going to take some time it seems.

it is of course my female hondo... still need a name for her... an infamous femme fatale for having bitten me... leaning towards Delilah.

Thanks Joe. Yes an African Rock, right around 7' long and an abused "pet" of a college student.. back when I was a teenager (many, many years ago!) there was an elderly woman that ran a rescue shelter... at that time she happened to have that African Rock and a Colombian red-tailed boa (I bought the red-tailed)... I'd stop at her place every weekend for nearly three months trying to tame that African (they are such good looking animals) with little to show for it but bloody hands... thankfully she finally placed it in what hopefully turned out to be a good home and put an end to my madness... as someone here has mentioned before... they are the dark side of the Dark Side!

Real nice Gerry! Not to often you see examples like that. Hopefully she will calm down for you. I have a tangerine that wants to take my face off everytime I open her cage. The funny thing is my daughters have no problem with her. Maybe she hates men.

It serves you right, though, that she bites. You can't possibly have ALL nice snakes... especially the polyzona.
