That would be nice. Play some nice romantic music when you introduce them.

Thanks Joe.....
The only difference is the hypo-e zonata hatch out already expressing the gene....these Mex Mex take a while to show it....but when they do they look amazing......I bet that male in the pics I posted will become anery...if that's even possible......he is losing the pink coloration......

And....I think the gene is co dominant.......we should know this Summer......

BTW....how are your hypo-e zonata doing?
My female will take fuzzies/hoppers out of my hand.......great snake.....

John, my hypo's are doing pretty good. I am hoping they breed this year. They are much more slender then a pure juarez animal of the same legnth. I believe that is their "martir" gene shining through. I doubt I will even breed all my animals this year. I need to trim my collection down quite a bit. I do this for the fun of it and have been just giving babies to friends anyway. Things might have to change----the wife is getting pissed. Money out, nothing back!! LOL

I know exactly what you're saying....LOL

My hypo-e female zonata is thicker than the het male....so I guess they are showing both juarez and martir genes.....

I don't need to trim my collection but I do only need to breed what is in demand and not just breed everything like some breeders do and flood the already saturated colubrid market then have to wholesale a lot.....
