Milk-a-thon day 26

RandyWhittington Feb 26, 2012 08:54 PM

Here is a black milk during it's color change, a clutch of hypos with patternless mixed in and a 16 egg honduran clutch from a het hypo female. You can only see 14 in the picture but there are two on the back side of the clutch. One on the center back and another on the left back side. I counted the clutch about 10 times just to make sure becaused I was so suprised.
What's the largest honduran milk clutch size anyone has heard of?

I'll look for it. I'm glad we're on the same page - I'd feel terrible if you thought I was picking on your animals.

Sorry again, my bad. A couple of the regular daily posters here will immediatly know what old posts came to my mind by someone that used to post here a lot but got the boot from the forums. I should have known that you of all people wouldn't have meant it that way.

Cole, is that one of the group that was temporarily here at the "Mong Motel"? a good while back..

Very nice!.......what an incredibly pronounce snout "V" that critter has goin' on, hey?

I believe I have a nice pair of sibs to your animal there from our boy Rusty. Here is a much older photo of one of the pair.

Doug,

Indeed! The photo is from the day they arrived. Ravenous beasts, aren't they?! True eating machines.

I had a clutch of 17 about 4 years ago, but the eggs were small and I think only 9 survived. Generally that same female lays 11-12 each year, so 14 is above average for sure.

Thanks Scott. I think it was Shannon that mentioned someone he knew had a clutch of 17 once. It might have been you he was talking about.
The same female that laid the clutch of 16 and another het hypo female I had used to laid 13 to 15 but I was really shocked to see the clutch of 16 eggs that were so large. All of them hatched.
