sulcata upper respitory infection again?

shelly78 Oct 03, 2003 05:30 PM

sullivan my 13 week old sulcata just got over an URI, i had to take her to the vet and i had to give her a series of shots.
well today i was doing my daily tortoise inspection, making sure the torts are in tip top condition when i herd sqeaking coming from sullivan. the same sqeaking i herd from her when she had a uri. is it likely for her to have another uri so close together. i just finished her shots like last week.
i don't know what i am doing wrong.
she has a :
5.0 reptisun uvb light
a heat lamp
plenty of water

is there anything else she needs?
-----
1 sulcata ( sullivan )
1 russian ( foxy )
3 cockerspaniels (wilbur, charlotte and torre )
1 betta ( frederica )

Hey Shelly, One of my Cherryheads has had an URI for the past month. I've done everything from shots, to eye drops. It just takes a while. I'm mad though, because the idiot breeder sold him to me like that. It makes me mad how they'll hand him over to me when he has an obvious infection. I wasn't smart enough then to tell the difference. None of my Stars or other Redfoots have ever had an infection of any kind living here in Florida. I'm just scared he may have infected my whole herd. A tortoise that should have cost me $200 has now cost me $600. I still love him though. Keep up the good work though with the medicine. Good luck. Brooks
