Mexican Black Kingsnake

I have the opportunity to pick one of these up. I want a completely black one but the one the store has light speckling on the belly and chin. The person at the store promises that these speckles will disappear over time. I haven't found any proof of this anywhere and was wondering if anyone has had this experience or if the jet black ones are that way from the get go? Thank you for your time.

It generally disappears, though not always. Even if they have a solid black body and belly, they usually have a patch of white on the chin which disappears with age. I've been breeding MBKs for over 10 years and that's been my observation.
