legality of CBB gopher snakes in CA?

TenorGoddess Mar 05, 2012 01:02 PM

Greetings everyone.

I have been looking online to see if it is legal for me to own an Applegate Albino Gopher snake that was purchased by the breeder as CBB, and he was unaware if any paperwork was needed since he's on the East Coast.
I know there are some strict CA laws so can anyone give me some more details on whether or not I would need a license just to have a CBB Applegate?
One herp society mentioned I'd just need to get the RA# from the breeder, but he has never heard of this. Thoughts? Advice?

Thank you kindly,

Amanda Rose
