Very, very pretty John. Do have pics of the mother?

Thanks Joe...
Here's the Mother....

I got her from Mike Madec at Isis Reptiles. Either Lloyd Lemke or Gary Sipperly stock. She was bred to a W/C Refugio County Holbrooki/Splendida Intergrade. She laid 9 eggs and 8 hatched out amel. I guess the male is het amel but the odds got blown away.....or dare I say Parthenogenesis.....lol
Anyway...cool animals....Like their mother they hatched out looking like a typical amel....with age and growth she turned solid yellow, but an underlying or overlying speckled pattern is still visible. Another thing I can't really explain is the fact that the adult female has raised scales.....She feels like an Angolan Python.....

John, that is one bright animal!! Now I see what you mean. How are their temperments? My speck has FINALLY chilled out, but it took him a long time.

Oh...they have true Holbrooki attitudes...
It seems Splendida & Calikings are more chill than holbrooki....to me at least.
Maybe it's because holbrooki hatch out so tiny compared to other getula...they have the "little guy" syndrome....lol

That is one nice line of kings the way they yellow up. Keep that going for sure.

Thanks Mark....I will be breeding one of the 2010 males to mom next year so I should have an entire clutch of amels that will turn yellow.....
But the het that hatched is one of the nicest holbrooki I've seen...My buddy Toby Brock has him along with two of the amels.
I kept 7 of the amels to see which ones would go through the yellowing ontogenesis....It looks like the females are yellowing up faster/more than the males......

Thanks Ross.
It's looking like it's codom at least. If all eventually turn yellow it's dominant....
Another fun project...lol
