Hybernation or Dead?

marygr22 Oct 03, 2003 09:17 PM

I have a pac man frog, i was wondering how to tell if the hybernating frog is still alive? He's been partially under the substrate for 4 weeks.

Well.. I really don't know much about pacman or hybernating frogs... and I don't want to be too gross or anything but... if there is no stink, I'd say he's not dead.

My horned frogs are brumating right now, and if you just touch them they will move their legs a bit. they shoudnt look like they are dead just encased in plastic.I would post some photos of them but I dont have a cammera.

Tonight while i was spraying down the substrate he moved, so I know he is still alive. how long should i expect him to stay like this?

As long as he wants, or when the humidity/temperature goes up.
