Candy canes......

GerardS Mar 14, 2012 05:03 PM

I always liked mountain kings but never thought about keeping any. My friend gave me this trio last weekend and I don't know what I have been waiting for. They are so beautiful and tiny. I really am looking forward to seeing them grow.

John, That was hatched by Wayne Sanders back in'08. Steve Osborne has that one. But here is one Shannon hatched in '09 that I have. I will take some full body shots soon.

Some of the L.pyromelana pyromelana are pure for sure. Jeff Teel is working with them. If I remember he was one of the first, I could be wrong.

Jlassiter Mar 14, 2012 08:20 PM

The amel pyros are all pyro......
And there are hypoerythristics, hypomelanistics (BHB pales), Sentz line hypos, aberrants, stripes, specials and still no double homozygotes except for a possible hybino or two.......i have seen one hypo-e aberrant that was smoking....
Jeff Teel's....

Pyros have lots of potential.......

There are actually two different lines of Candy Cane knoblochi. One line popped up in Shannon's San Juanito animals, and another popped up out of Steve Osborne's Mojarachic animals. There have been a couple more pop up and from what I can trace back those actually originated from Steve's line. Can't be certain because the parents were mixed with other lines of knoblochi (eg. Buzz Ross and Dave Barker) I am working with both lines and hopefully can test to see if they are compatable. I might even have answers this year.

>>Do you have any hypo-e pyros?

I have a pair that is 100% het for Sentz line Hypo and possible het for Hypo-E....If both genes are actually in there they could produce the first Hypo/Hypo-e (like the Hondo ghost).......But I would be happy with some Sentz Hypos....

Yeah, I've always really liked those Sentz line hypos a lot. Those things are drastically hypo!

And wouldn't a nice HIGH BLACK Sentz Line Hypo look amazing??

I have a nice pair of high blacks that'll go next year.....So I hope to get some Sentz hypos this year to be paired up with them in the future.......So many projects, not enough time....lol

Heck yeah! The wider platinum/silver rings would definitely show the extreme hypomelanism off just that much more. That is also what I liked about one of the hold-back extreme hypo Hondos I produced.
