geekogeek May 27, 2003 09:45 AM

Two of my Leo eggs just hatched. What is the best to feed them and will they eat right away?

Thanks

From what I have read they will not eat for a day or two after hatching. After that they should eat pinhead crickets. I would guess it would be a good idea to make sure they are gut loaded.

This is advice I have read from the boards here.

Hatchlings will about a couple days to a week after they hatch. During that time they are feeding off of their yolk sac. When they are ready to eat, they can eat small crix, not as small as pinheads. The petstore near my house sells small and large crickets. The small size is perfect, but they are a little bigger than pinheads. They can also eat small mealworms.
