Well, here is a young wild-caught intergrade originating from southeastern Arizona. They can be EXTREMELY variable looking depending on what percentages of either types are involved, as well as what their individual phenotypes were. Around the Tuscon area there is a three-way convergence zone of all three subspecies,....splendida, nigrita, and californiae. They can also look like any of the three, as well as any combination of these. Many have found very different phenotypes under the same piece of cover too.
Yours should be pretty easy to see the other subspecies influence when you can get it posted here.
