Some NA Milk hookups

KcTrader Mar 17, 2012 06:56 PM

I caught my Amel male annulata and het female just getting done. And then went to feed the gentilis and they were all hooked up. The male has been pacing the cage for days so he went right in this morning. Sorry about the bad pic of the gentilis didn't want to disturb them.

It sure is, was holding off a little bit to fatten up the female. She hasn't even shed yet so I am sure he'll be back at it a few times.

Thats awesome. If that is the Gentilis pair I think it is you don't have to worry about disturbing that male he is one track...and very focused. Glad they are doing well for you. Can't wait to see what pops out this year.

It is, and he is a nypho. He'll hump anything you put in front of him. I held off a little while, the female was a little thin coming out, so I figured I would let her chow down on some food before I let him at her. He lives just above her and he shot right out of his tub and straight to hers and was trying to get in today. The rest is history. Hopefully I get some females this year.

Anery is a pig too, Thanks Dave!

Thanks Doug, yea I am hoping for some pearly white eggs this year. I am wondering if the slight adjustment to the brumation and spring temps will make the difference. If all goes well it should be an exciting year. I am also looking forward to everyone else's projects as well.

Very Nice. Good luck with those. Seems pretty early for hookups. I checked in on my milks when I got home last night, no action up here yet, but I think they were celebrating something.

Thanks Joe, hoping for some good eggs this year. Last year was okay but had more infertiles than fertiles. Hopefully this year will be different.

Sweet!
Did your annulata go after the first shed, or second shed post brumation?

Thanks Mike, I took her first shed and put it in there with him and he went crazy. So in she went, left the room for a bit and came back to see the last part of copulation. They were at it again this morning. She's receptive, so keeping my fingers crossed for some pearly whites in a few weeks.
