Northern Pine Inquiry

David_Diamond Mar 19, 2012 10:44 AM

Hi all -

Can anyone here recommend trustworthy breeders of top-notch, black & white New Jersey pines? I might be in the market for some hatchlings this coming season.

I'm primarily an Aussie python guy, but I worked with a BIG pair of Northerns at a pet store in the '90s (my first after-school job) and I'm feeling nostalgic--and a bit compelled to "color outside the lines," so to speak.

Cheers,

David

I got a nice pair 2009's from Nick Puder. They were a bit muddy as hatchlings, but now are nearing five feet and are black and white. I'm sure they have a lot more growing to do, since I haven't pushed them very hard.

I recently bought a really nice pair of northerns from Jeff Dennis (toxicity). They are 2011's, but the male is already slamming small rats. Not sure why northerns are not more popular. Great contrasting black and white color and impressive size.
