PISTACHIO HOGNOSE - NEW MORPH

Longhitano Mar 20, 2012 09:53 AM

Hey together,

here are some pics of my new LINE.

They will come this year for the first time to the Hognose market!

The PISTACHIOS have Lavender-colour Bellys and a green, yellow or brown shade. They have no Black, only the eyes and tongue seems to be dark.

Enjoy the pics.......

That is beautiful for sure.

How does this differ from a toffee hognose? I've only seen pics of toffees, so it is hard for me to tell the difference.

That is a different Line and they do not are compatibel with Toffees or something else!
The Toffees are T Albinos. These not!

Thanks for looking

That is very nice morph. and I love your images are not color hyped. Digital images can be so often a bit to much, not to the fault of the person, as cameras are often set to vivid by default.

How did the name come up? and again, That is a super snake

They are two reasons why PISTACHIOS...........

1. Most of the Pistachios have a greenish-yellow colour like the Pistachios we all know! But some are orange or purple colour like very ripe Pistachios and some a brownish like unripe Pistachios.

2. The origin of my Name is a small village in Sicily on the Mount Etna. This Village BRONTE is very knowen all over the world for a their amazing great volcano Pistachios.

So I was thinking it was a good idea....

How goes this gene work? Is it recessive? Dominant? Co-dominant?

How many generations has it been bred out to prove the genetics?

They are very interesting looking and may be good to mix with other morphs. I might be interested in picking up one or two but I would like some more details if possible.

Thanks.

Hi
The Pistachios are recessive and this year is the third year I breed them. I bred always het with het and Visual with het. This year I bred for the first time two visuals together and I allready have two nice clutches. Maybe pictures cannnot show it but they looks really amazing and lighter with every shed. I will sell them this year for the first time but in very limited numbers.......
