WOW!!!!! :0
I,ve never seen a snake, much less a retic, that would stand for a brushing on the head like that.
Hi folks,
there is a story to that picture!
The retic was found as egg by the people and thei raised it! He is absolutly used beeing handled and seems to be quite trustworthy.
Nothing ever happend until now.
Cheers,
Wulf

I went to Thailand in 89 and 91. They had kids, maybe 12 or 13 doing snake shows in the boxing rings before the fights. These kids would take out huge cobras and get them to hood up, then they would run up and flip over them and kiss them on the head. I saw one guy get bit in the head while trying to kiss one of the snakes. He left very fast on a pick up truck ambulance. I love that country, but they are nuts the way they allow their kids to get in harms way for a buck or two.
and I did see a cobra show. I was not impressed but I tolerated it anyway. I was the only one there at the time so they did the show just for me. Prior to the show, one guy took me around to the various enclosures and gave me a tour. He could tell, by the questions that I was asking, I knew thing or two about snakes. I didn't give him my business card until after the show, LOL. On a side note, that trip was awesome and I will be going back very soon.

of the show. You can view the album at the link below.

` I don't know for sure, but I guess when you share your habitat with these critters, all the interaction can't be negative.
` The pix of the child with the Rock were in Yahoo news, a few months ago. The story said it was a family in Burma. The snake wandered in, and they started feeding it chickens.

is another culture's idea of normative behavior.
I love those pics! Especially the retic sharing the dinner hour, although if you look closely the humans don’t appear all that thrilled at its presence. And the Burmese looks like it has a nasty wound or infection in its mouth.
Guess I’ll still be recommending caging as the optimum husbandry practice for giant pythons.
