Northern pinesnake

DISCERN Mar 22, 2012 02:01 AM

Locality or non-locality, I love all northern pinesnakes.
This sweet girl is an 05 non-locality from John Schmitt/Suncoast Herps. He does not produce northerns anymore, and I was lucky enough to score this awesome specimen.

My all time favorite snakes.

She is also one of my all-time faves in my whole collection.

Quintessential B&W ...how old, how big? My "big fella" hit 6' at age 2 then almost stopped ...going on 4 now and probably only about 6' 4". ...very robust though. Got to get a new pic but will wait till next shed.

Thanks!
She will be 7 this year.
She grew to be just a little over 5 foot by her second birthday, and like yours, hasn't grow much more.

Darn it Billy!!! I am trying to downsize my collection and you go and post a snake like that. Come on man, you are not helping me here. LOL. Awesome animal. I hope to have some Northerns one day when I have a larger snake room.

That is what I love about her, is her contrast.
Also, her black is really BLACK. Completely hard to capture in pics.

Billy,

Northerns are my favorite Pituophis by far and those photos show why that is.
