Veiled with prolapse passed away...

repzoo44 May 27, 2003 09:59 AM

I took him to the vet and he did a quick surgery and sent me on my way. I was told by the vet and the breeder that it was pretty much guaranteed to kill him. I wanted to give it a try anyway. Shortly after we left the vet his hemipene dropped again and I tried to push it back up but with no luck. By the next day he was just laying on the ground and his eyes were not completely focusing so I had my girlfriend take him to work and put him out of his misery. I felt bad for doing that but I think it was the right thing to do. Has anyone else ever had a veiled do this. Does anyone know what causes it or is it just a freak happening. E.P.
