Saw this speckled king at recent show and thought it was the best looking holbrooki I had seen. Had to get it and will be looking to pair it up. Anyone have these or know someone who does?

Nice animal. I think they are some of the prettiest snakes around. Do you know the locality on your snake?

They didn't know the locality but I'm thinking eastern texas/western louisianna.

That is a pretty one for sure! I have some from New Orleans, but they are the more white types.

There are several nice localities out there, each with their own great look. I am partial to eastern KS.

LOL. I am no safer with a nail gun either. I smashed my finger like a grape last year with a framing hammer and later on shot a nail right through one of my fingers with a nail gun. Just can't win!!! Nice injury though. You lose the nail?

That's a beautiful animal. I'm partial to them too, now that I have seen one. Are you breeding those?

joecop Mar 28, 2012 06:06 PM

I need to pair this guy up this year, so if I can find him a mate I will post her and then yes, I will be breeding them. Until then, I only have this awesome boy to look at, but I am heading there in several weeks!!

well good luck! post whatever you find. What's common to guys in other areas of the country, we easterners may have never seen. It's awesome to see the variety of patterns from different parts of the country.
