Pre-lay eliminations

Last year I noticed that, pre lay, all the females that gave me eggs took a fairly runny dump. One of them had *some* feces in it, but the other two were just urates and watery yellow gunk. Is this fairly typical?

We wouldn't have 6 and a half billion people if you had to be beautiful to get laid.

It depends on if they were feeding while gravid...
Many stop feeding them when they turn down a normal sized meal...
I offer smaller items and keep them fed while they are gravid...
Normal feces everytime.....

yah, I keep feeding--it's about 50/50 on if they take any given meal, but they all eat at least some. I just offer smaller meals (a mouse versus a small rat say).
