Boa Morph Dream......

jbbean1369 Mar 30, 2012 10:29 PM

I was reading a thread somewhere online the other day of people wanting to know everyone's opinion on what morph they'd like to see in boas, the main one was a pied version, which I think would be beautiful too, but I've been thinking about it a few days, and I think the most desirable morph to me would be a chameleon boa, that'd be amazing, anyone agree? Or thoughts? My current favorite is an Albino blood boa, love it, wish I had one, thanx

I like blue ones! I also think lemon yellow in place of red would look nice.

How about blue, with red stripes, and white star pattern, lol, I could only imagine what the "people" that hate the US morph "craze" would have to say then, lol, but yellow in place of red would be neat to see

Some of the blue Moon bloodline retain a pretty good amount of blue/purple, but tend to get an orange-ish wash and dorsal speckles of bright colors as they mature....breeding to Roswell could be interesting
There's a genetic basis for why red turns out red in some cases, and orange or yellow in others, so bright lemon yellow is theoretically possible. I'm hoping the hypomel' bloody "smoke" super-Mayans turns out brilliant pink and tangierine colored...it'll be awhile yet before I get results from that project.

hypomel' bloody "smoke" super-Mayans- isn't that a mouthful, lol, well good luck, I hope it works out, it'd be a really nice change, and of course I'm sure it'd look stunning,

About the blue moon, do u know anyone who is producing them? Is never heard of them, sounds interesting,

The Blue Moon line is mine. i've not bred them to each other yet and gotten babies, but bred to the Mayan line. I'll post a few pics in a day or so. The grandfather was "blue ghost" in appearance, but not anerythristic or known line of hypomel. He was bred (accidentally) to a "pastel" Colombian, and none of those looked like him, but much of the litter were ontogenetically (as they aged) progressively hypoerythristic; then as adults developed various degrees of multicolored speckling! The "smoke" Mayan X Blue Moon litter of 2010 looked (some of them)more like the original....I should be seeing what BM to BM produces pretty soon, and due to Mayan genetics it could be pretty intense if it pans out

Don't we all wish we had one that did that, at least then we'd have all the money we need to battle these BS legal issues,
