I'm on my first out-of-state herping tripod the year in NorCal. I found a couple of young Pac Gophers yesterday. Here's one of them (photographed and released where captured).

Billy,
I'm in NorCal in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It's been raining hard for three weeks straight here. We have a week of dry, sunny weather coming up, so I may have arrived just in time. So far I'm finding all my snakes have been found under board lines and most of them are small.
I found a Rubber Boa (posted in the Rubber Boa forum) as well as many Ringnecks, Coast Garters and a few baby NorPac Rattlesnakes. We're checking out some tin on a mountain today that has been a very good place for Gophers in the past. It looks like the temperatures will be in the 60s for all next week.
So hopefully there will be more pics to come.
