Am I the only one...

BNixon Mar 31, 2012 06:05 PM

Who will blow air towards the snakes when photographing them to get that oh so sweet tongue shot? I'm guessing others do it as well.

My camera has felt betrayed as of late so I decided to take out Reeses and get a few shots these were the result of this mornings session.

I cannot believe how much more vibrant this guy has gotten since Septmeber the Jungle gene really spices up those Motleys.

I have done this myself, to try and get the tongue shot or make them stay still.
Love that boa...makes me want one.

Those blood albino's are nice. They have been catching my eye lately.
I would like to see updated pics of the sharp bloody sunglow's etc. ( I know you dont have, I'm just putting it out there)
My only hold back is that they are not 100% BCI, which I'm not a big don't mix my locality guy, but I still would like to do that and be 100% BCI.
They are killer though.

I can see that. For it to be more "Colombian" type it would probably have to be a sangria x albino.

Here is a pic Zach sent me a few weeks ago when I was working on my morph list on my site. It's looking sweet as well

I may be wrong but could we see a pic showing both eyes.

ZachClapperton Apr 01, 2012 10:57 AM

She does have both eyes but the right one had a small infection when she was born. If I remember correctly, Mike Panichi had one with a similar problem. It was treated with Terramycin and has since healed but does not look perfect like the left eye. I would imagine she is blind in the right eye. I try to take pictures without directly showing the eye as I don't want to distract from her beauty with a small flaw. Thanks for the question, Bob.

Totally do the blowing trick! LOL... my friends always ask why I do that and I'm probably up to 327 different sarcastic reasons given now! HAHA. But it definitely works and makes for great shots, especially with my paradoxes with black tongues! Great photos and Boas!!

Curious though, what are the genetics of that guy?!?! It's a Motley and you said Jungle, but is that all? Thanks in advance!!

Lol I'm curious to know the top 10! And a few images of that paradox wouldn't be bad!

He's a Motley Jungle VPI Caramel produced by Jeremy Stone and Josh here are a few contrasting images of him and my Motley Caramel for comparison.

Not the best pics of the two but enough to show the difference.

LOL. It usually boils down to : They can tell people apart by their scent( and people believe this!!), They think its fresh air blowing so they scoop in up with their tongue and push it into their noses, They know its me since I ve had them as a baby so they will react as a dog would wag it's tail at its owner. Lie I said, just random funny stuff.

As for the paradoxes, I will be posting some pictures of them here this weekend, more than likely tomorrow!! They are some of the coolest I've seen and have had them for some time so seeing them grow up has been a real joy!! Ill keep you posted on the post!

As for your jungle motley VPI..that guy is awesome looking!! His colors are bright as anything!!! Was curious about the jungle influence on him as I have some motleys born last season that are turning out super nice and I have been asked about a jungle gene in them from their father. Again, Ill be posting some pics of them son as well!!

Thanks for the reply!! Your animals have always looked amazing on here, look forward to what you produced in the next few months as well!!

He is on another level of beautiful! I've said for a long time that the jungle gene throws off the colors a bit, and he's a perfect example. I can't wait to make something like him.

Just out of curiousity, if you don't mind sharing.... What are you planning to breed him to and when? I can't wait to see his offspring.

He should be ready to go this coming season and a buddy of mine has a super nice girl were planning on using him on.

Should result in a triple co dom het caramel. The results will be out of this world!
