Red Cape Gopher

DISCERN Mar 31, 2012 11:45 PM

Back when Vivid Reptiles produced Cape gophers, I was fortunate enough to score this specimen for Christmas, back in 2001. He will be 11 this year, and his colors are nothing short of incredible.

I love this guy, and he is the only cape in my collection at this time. Red ones like this seem to show some Bimaris influence, IMO. Anyways...just wanted to share.

Yeah, I was thinking that is very suggestive of bimaris ...intergrade?

Not sure. When Tim/Vivid hatched out his capes, he would get both orange capes, like what you more commonly see, and then some of these red ones.

Didn't know he produced vertebralis. Guess that was before around 2007?

Oh yea, I bought two capes from him, the one pictured, and an orange, both in 2000 and 20001. That red cape pictured is an 01.
