FirexMojave or??

ajfreptiles Apr 04, 2012 09:34 AM

I just picked up a male breedable Mojave....Now I am wondering should I breed my male Fire to my Mojave female or should I breed the Mojave? What would you do and why? Thanks Andy

It all depends on what you want to produce. Do you want to produce Super mojave(s) or Fire mojave(s)?

I guess I should have been more clear. From a breeders standpoint what potential does a fire mojave do towards future morph production? I am thinking that would be the best route to take rather than just producing straight mojave's or getting lucky with a blue eyed lucy. What I am wondering is what can be done further with a firexmojave? Is this used in any cool combos that are already made that I can work toward? Thanks....I hope this is clearer than mud...lol

Well for starters, a fire mojave bred to a normal can reproduce more fire mojaves, but also fires, mojaves, and normals.
A super mojave bred to a normal would produce all mojaves, so both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Could try for a super fire super mojave down the line either way and see what happens there. Good luck!

i would say breed the fire to the mojave, then breed a fire mojave offspring to a vanilla morph. vanilla creams and vanilla screams are damn sexy. throw in mojave and you cant go wrong

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

I would do fire x mojave for down the road and then cross into pastels and y.b. but if your goal is white snakes then its mojave x mojave. I prefer crazy color myself.

Here is a Sulfur Mojave I produced, seems like they have a fair amount of Striping and a nice maroon color. I say, shoot for something other than a white snake...unless you just love white snakes. Supers are nice though....the LINKED pic has a comparison shot, I know everyone loves comparison shots...of a Sulfur Mojave and a Mojave.

A sulfur mojave x lemonblast gets you a sulfur/mojo/pastel/pin. Not sure how we got from fire stuff to sulfur stuff, but not really sure how much different they are either. This one didn't look like much to begin with, but is much yellower now...Dave

There's plenty of white snakes out there. Do something special with it. You may stumble on a combo that you really like. Make a fire mojo and breed it to a bumble bee... Go for the fire mojave pastel spider! and everything else that comes with it!

Thanks...I decided fire mojave is best choice.

Breed it to the Fire many times and then throw in the mojo male once or twice to make sure that you get eggs even if the fire is shooting blanks. If you really want eggs, you may want that back up because you never know until you have babies in hand whether a male is fertile. Better to back it up and get some mojos and BELs than to strike out with a dud Fire male and end up with nothing.

just breed both em to her, that way you have a shot at both
