BELLY HEAT OPINIONS.. YES OR NO??

briangalleyreptiles Apr 05, 2012 12:11 PM

I am just looking for some opinions from everyone. I currently house my animals in ARS racks. I use a 90 degree hot spot in all my racks, and I run my room at around 82 degrees. All my animals eat great. But I have been contemplating eliminating the belly heat and raising my room temps. The reason being is just a safety thing, I'm just trying to lower the risk of anything going wrong.
Thanks,
Brian Galley

20 years....lots of balls....most with no belly heat...room temp 82 at face level...usually...up and down all the time...lots of eggs....never a respiratory ailment at all in any ball....

it works....room at 84 would be good...small fan would be good....

but then you run a fan 24/7......

(did that too...$10 fan, Dollar store...plugged in and unplugged and threw it away 2 years later....usually fans and heaters were all thrown out after a year.....usually....)...

(some heaters ran after being under water and ran for years...NOT cool, NOT good...)

all my stuff was on concrete....not wood or carpet...
