Hey everybody, Here are my two 2010 Motley TH Moonglow males I got from Dave Savickey last year. They were too small to do anything this past season but are putting on size nicely now. I'm hoping the 2012 season will be their year! Anyway, it's a nice day so I thought I'd take them out since neither one was in a shed. ENJOY!

I like those dark silvery eyes.

I could do many things with one of those in my boa room, that
really is a genetic powerhouse.

I've got a jungle possible het female who I paired up with a
Motley het. She is about to give birth anytime this month. I've
been dreaming about albino jungle motleys for a few weeks now.

Yes, their eyes are amazing! Love looking at them and seeing all of the little flecks and specks of different colors in them! They are pretty clean hypos as well so the bright pinks and cream colors around the eyes really make them stand out even more!

I am definitely looking forward to what the two of them can and will do in the future!! True, the possibilities are almost endless! and they are at a perfect age and size that they will make wicked litters for some time! Having two doesn't hurt either I am posting a few pics of at least one of those projects as a response to this thread here in a second, so check that out and let me know what you think!!!

Congrats on your Jungle Motley litter!!! The patterns are sweet looking!! Didn't really expect any different from you tho

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks man !! They are some really sweet looking hypos! The Florida sunlight washed out a lot of the oranges and pinks on their sides but I will take better pics soon. Still getting that whole thing down. As the get bigger their colors are getting better and better tho so Im excited to see what they look like come Sept!

Morgans Boas Apr 08, 2012 02:26 AM

Pretty cool looking Boas . I'm just curious what you plan to breed them to . You do know that the female will have to be a Hypo or Motley to make Motley Moonglows right ? The wierd twist about Hypo Motley genetics.

Hey how are you! Thanks for the reply! Yeah , I was pretty let down when first learning about the whole Hypo/Motley needing to be ( bare minimum) from opposite parents. But I think I have planned accordingly around that for at least one project. I plan on proving out( or trying to,lol ) the two Quad boys beforehand to see which one gets the job done and taking that guy and putting him with this chick I have been sitting on for a while now... Have a look-see and feel free to comment Maybe you guys have a better suggestion for a pairing? I will admit..with this pairing, there will be so many things , genetically, going on , I'll have my hands full with the offspring!! Anyway..here she is

She is a 2009 Coral Sunglow Arabesque Het Anery produced by Chaz Neely. She has really started to color up greatly and the yellow markings on her head have become more and more pronounced over each month. Super great eater and solid muscle tone. Slightly small for her age but a rock solid Boa and again ...A genetic powerhouse thats pretty rare to find even these days.. from what Ive been told. But yeah.. Thats my answer to the Hypo/Motley to make a Moonglow Motley issue. Would be excited to see those, Arab Moonglows and maybe even a Motleybesque Moonglow ?!?!?! Only time will tell! Thanks for looking guys!!

Take that back..guess the absolute BEST possible offspring would be a Motleybesque SnowGlow out of this pairing .. Though , at that point.. Id be happy to just have a healthy happy white baby... regardless of pattern!

perfectpredators Apr 09, 2012 12:03 AM

youre right it is an amazing pairing!

DSavickey Apr 09, 2012 07:45 PM

Jamess.. You can produce a Motleybesque moonglow with that pairing.. I really liked that Sunglow arab girl... I miss her already.. Glad you are taking good care of her.. That yellow on her head is just killa.. Top genetics..

Jamess.. My Sunglow Jungle 100% het Anery is gravid now and is due in mid May.. She is 2008 and I wont have any use for her after she gives birth.. I will also list the babies in the classifieds.. A Moonglow Junglow would fit in nicely with your Motleybesque moonglow, wink wink... Good luck with those killa animals..

Dave!
When I posted this I couldn't help but think bout you biting your lip thinking " damn, Those were MINE!!" I am definitely very happy with the way things are turning out for all three of them ( both Quad gets and the Sunglow Arab) now that they've bumped up to the next larger meal size! The Sunglow girl is really just amazing to look at in the sun!! Agreed, that yellow on her head is ridiculously bright !!! I wish these pics were better and that she stayed still more so I could have taken and posted better pics.

As for the pairing, The Motleybesque Moonglow ( or even SnowGlow) would be out of this world... though Ive recently heard that not too many Motleybesques survived too long and is something I want to look into before I jump head first into shallow gene pools

Congrats on your Gravid girl!!! Ive watched your posts on breeding her this past year so Im glad to see she went for you after all!! Look forward to seeing what comes out of her!! LOL...hint hint , huh?!?! We shall see but Im working on thinning my herd at the moment !! You never know tho!! Hope all is well with you !!!! Talk soon and excited to see your baby pics!!!

Hey guys! You must have got one of the females from the year before my boys' litter! Dave produced them two years in a row, 2009 and 2010 from what I remember him telling me. Mine are from 2010. Sweet that your girl produced for you, and apologies no motley moonglows hit! I tried for that last year and got two crazy looking moonglows but they're more jungle looking than motley. Weird! Check out the post above I did did and see whatr Im planning on pairing with one of the two Quads in the future!

DSavickey Apr 09, 2012 07:39 PM

Thats Great to hear that the boas I produced are producing for you.. Would love to see pics of the litter.. Im sure there were a few holdbacks in there.. Also the line of Moonglow that was the father was known to produce calicos, as I produced a calico in the same litter as your girls.. Did you produce any calicos? Sometimes it takes about a year till the gene really spills out..

newworldmorphs Apr 09, 2012 11:57 PM

Dave,

I haven't not yet produced a litter using the Quad het boys I purchased from you. It looks like Oct 2012 will be their first formal introduction to " the ladies"!!! And the Sunglow Arab het won't be ready until after that Im guessing. Trust me, when these guys pair up and then especially produce..IMMA CALL YA!!!! LOL I'm excited about that phone call(s) !!! Take care

They are both looking really good Jamess... I like the colors Im seeing.. And thier eyes are just stellar.. The Anery gene is spilling out of the eyes..

newworldmorphs Apr 10, 2012 12:02 AM

Agreed Dave!! They both have killer eyes!! One of them has more of an Orange tone to his coloring while the other is more Beige/Tan colors. Im excited to see what they will color up to by October!!! I'll keep you posted for sure!! Thanks for looking at them and commenting!!! Appreciate it
