Ouch - wish me luck....

Going under the knife Monday. Broke my collar bone this last week skiing. So badly damaged it will take a plate and screws to get all the pieces back together. At least with surgery it should actually heal quicker and straight.

Wow, that's a heck of a fracture. Good luck with the surgery and quick recovery!

Thanks Ed, according to the doc and research I did on my own, the "erector set" repair should actually heal much faster and relatively straight.

Back home and feeling better, surgery went well. Recovery has already had it's ups and downs. All in all doing much better.

one plate and 8 screws later, it's amazing how much better it feels. Still not supposed to move my arm for now, will see the surgeon Monday and see where we go from there. Pain is virtually gone, not one single pain med in over 5 days, not even a tylenol.

Thanks for asking Cindy!
