What diet do you use that works best? Do they need UV-B? And what size cage is best? will a 4ft by 2ft work? or a 2ft x 4ft? Thanks again! Dave.

My MTS, Leonardo, lives in a 3,5F by 2,F cage near an opened window (i live in a very hot and humid country).He only eats POTHOS plant (the plant you can see inside his cage) and fruits.He loves MELONS and ill try to give him Mangos and PAPAYA too.It should be better if i could convince him to eat greens and veggies, too, but until now the only greens and veggies he ate a little bit were pumpkin and Kang Kong ( a local veggie).Inside his cage i put 2 medium size bowls: one for food and other for water and a large bowl with water on the floor because he is very clean and loves to soak in the water. I dont have to worry about heating and humidifiers (sp?) because, as i said, where i live is already too hot and humid! MTSs love temperatures that go from 78 until 85F and a very high level of humidity! Yes, they do need UVB lights! As i put Leonardo's cage near a window the only thing i need to do is to open the window for a couple of hours everyday and he will get all the sun and fresh air he needs!
As Leonardo loves to hide inside his cage i put 2 hiding places, one on the floor and the other one up near the cage's roof. His cage still has a thermometer to control the temp.When its too hot i close the windows!
Leonardo is crepuscular but it seems he is adjusting his habits to our family's routine because i notice he has been awake during great part of the day too!
