Lucy Colombian

josh_outback Apr 11, 2012 08:57 AM

Finally got some better pics of our lucy Colombians, so wanted to share one that captures the color of these guys a little better.

We are very proud of this project, and feel that the rainbow boa world is getting ready to pic up big time with these and a few other animals that should hit the market this season.

Its hard not to smile when you open a rack and see one of these guys starring back out at you!

Enjoy.

There's just something about lucies that has always fascinated me, with every species that's produced them. What a gorgeous animal!

Josh and Dave,

I am curious to know what are all the proven morphs in the CRBs? I know of the albino’s, hypo’s and lucy’s. Does anyone know what all is out there?

Thank you for your time, John Wiseman

Also is a "Ghost" but is single gene recessive, not like the typical Hypo plus Anery like BRB and other species.

It is one of our well started juveniles, about 4-5 months old.

Gorgeous animal and I think you're right, rainbows in general are ready to explode with all the new morphs being found.

Specifically the CRB's may be in better position to have the morphs better accepted as they add new and brighter colors to a snake that typically ends up a more uniform brown color.

I see and hear the argument on BRB's all they time that the high color normals are soooooo pretty and brightly colored compared to many of the morphs. I do agree, how can you argue with the intensity of a bright red or bright orange adult BRB?

Its true, a normal high red BRB is hard to beat, but hopefully we will be changing that opinion this season when we produced the first C.B albino BRB's.

Our male was bred to the best of the best of high red females, so we will be able to see selective breeding at its best.
