adamjeffery Apr 11, 2012 09:12 AM

i was just wondering what was your largest individual egg was and what is your average.
reason i ask is i just had a clutch laid easter sunday, 4 slugs and 1 good, giant egg. it weighed 130 grams. my largest for sure. i have not weighed my eggs before. this one was just physically larger than any i had produced. so i weighed it...lol

My only clutch so far, 6 eggs, 703 total. I couldn't get them apart to weigh individually.

I just had a clutch of 8, they weighed 849g. I believe the female was in the 2500-2600g range.

I had a 7 egg clutch last season that weighed 876 grams so an average of 125 grams each. All seven eggs hatched, all seven were female and they averaged 90 grams at birth. If I average out all of my clutches it works out to 113.5 grams per egg.
