Finally Success!

JMo Apr 14, 2012 07:48 PM

Well, it finally happened. My Bone White Male Hypo finally hooked up with my nice yellow Het Hypo fermale, see attached a photos. Last year nothing happened and it was a bit disappointing, but this year thanks to all the advice and information from all of you on Kingsnake who responded to my inquiries, it finally happened. Thanks so much.

I'm now waiting for my two anerys (multiple hets)to hook up.

One question - after the male and female finish their business, do I remove the male and attempt to feed them both, or do I leave them together for awhile? If I remove him, when do I reintroduce them again - 3 or 4 days?

Thanks aagain,
Jim

Hey Jim,
Congrats on the success!
Some people keep the snakes together, some separate and re-introduce them several times. I say separate them tomorrow morning if they're not breeding then too, feed them tomorrow night the male may or may not eat mine stop feeding as soon as they smell females. Then put them back together in a couple days. After that offer the females smaller meals to keep them eating and keep putting the male in her cage until she no longer wants him there.
