Bio-active substrate for hogs.

Gregg_M_Madden Apr 19, 2012 07:23 AM

Over the past 2 seasons we have been testing out a bio-active substate for hogs. I can tell you now that I will never be going back to sanichips or aspen again.

Rack bins stay clean and without smell from fecal or bacterial build up. I will get into more detail and post photos soon. Just want to record a bit more data.

That would be soooo helpful.
Working full time, putting in as
many hours on the bicycle as my neck
will allow, seriously cuts into maintenance
time. Cleaner, less smelly boxes, would
really help.

Glad to hear. I like when people try things, and especially when it works out. Congrats. Please expound on those details at some point.

Sounds interesting Gregg. What bacterial agents is it effective against ? Is it EPA approved ? Any more info on how it combats odours ? (by eliminating the bacteria or by masking ?)

cheers, John
