Looking to save some money where I can. Does anyone have a good source to lower the cost on monthly aspen costs? Whether it's at a National Chain Store, or ordering on line, or buying in bulk. So where did you seem to find your best deal?

My best source is a pet store wholesale company. You have to have a business license to buy from places like this.

Many don't like the smaller pieced aspen shavings due to possible ingestion when eating - but I put my snakes in a "feeder tank" with no bedding - and I have read where you can put a towel down on the bedding during feeding time..
With that in mind, I go to Farm and Fleet for my aspen bedding - it is in the small animal section. I would imagine that any store similar to them would have it, but you can always give them a call to make sure
I get mine in 50 pound compressed bags at Tractor Supply Company but you can get them at most farm & ranch supply or feed store. They are packaged for horses. I pay less than $6 per 50# bag
