Looking to save some money where I can. Does anyone have a good source to lower the cost on monthly aspen costs? Whether it's at a National Chain Store, or ordering on line, or buying in bulk. So where did you seem to find your best deal?

I get mine at walmart for 2 something for 9 liters condensed.
Buying online kills you , I was forced to buy online for quite a while a few years back.
Shipping was literally double what the price of the Aspen alone was.,
I'm very strict I only use Harlen Aspen . . so I was at impasse ,no where to get it locally.
I seriously considered buying in bulk and selling it at my local Reptile show Until finally
the people who run the show got the same idea.
So now I go to the show and pay maybe $2-$3 over what I would pay retail not including the shipping.
So I pay $5.00 to get into the show and then pay $13.00 or $14.00 or so for the Aspen . . . . . . . .
combined with door fee total price $18.00-$19.00 not bad as far as I'm concerned,
because it was costing me about $34.00 just for shipping fees alone the other way , so total was $47.00 1 bag. . . . . . .
Here is the only product I use ;
Harlan Teklad 7093 Shredded Aspen 4.38 Cubic Foot Compressed Bedding

What it looks like loose

If you are near Northern IL. look this show up . . . . .

im going to answer Lar's and this thread in 1. If youre incorporated to do business as a reptile/pet business and you have city/state re-sale cert., look up your local pet supplies wholesaler. in FL where im at theres 2, ones Royal Pet Supplies and the other is Central Pet something or other. They both carry what i use Kay-Tee and Lar after you use the Kay-tee brand Aspen you would never ever use that stuff you use now on your boas. I pay $18 for a bale that covers 8 cubic feet almost 2x the coverage of yours and in the same size package, the main thing is the shred is not needles which i found alot in the cloaca and in scales and stuff, 2nd theres almost no aspen dust, which is annoying and causes in my opinion tons of waste as its really useless..they all deliver, i cant have them deliver to my location as they arrive in an 18 wheeler and i cannot accomodate that but they do deliver to my UPS Store mail box location.
To give you an idea i can cover 2-3 inches of cover on 5-6 of the FB 4 footers with 1 bag...
The wholesaler i use in FL which maybe national or perhaps regional is called Royal Pet Supplies...
