How much do common in pet trade monitors cost? Thanks!

You can get monitors for $15. But you probably won't end up with an animal you're happy with. There are many different 'common' monitors, so there's no real answer to that question at any rate. A quick check of the classifieds will probably give you a ballpark figure on species you're interested in.

if the price of the animal itself is going to be a worry, I'd advise you to steer away from monitors. Even if the animal is cheap, the cost of food and housing will far outweigh that cost in short order
