R.I.P. Baby Girl

ceniceros Apr 27, 2012 07:37 PM

This post goes out to one of my favorite RC pastel girls that i produced in 2007 she just had a small litter of 4 babies began to hug the heat and i thought she would pass the rest but then she died

She was such a sweet snake and it hurts that she is now gone. Here is a small photo timeline of her. Enjoy.

Just born 1st shed photo

1 year B-day photo

With one of her brothers and a suriname BCC at over 2 years of age (2009)

At 4 years plus and about 6.5'ft.

The 4 babies she had are doing just fine and have taken f/t on there 1st attempt.

I am sorry to hear about her passing, she truly was a beautiful snake. I am very happy that at least 4 of the babies are alive, and I hope you keep one in memory of her.

Beautiful girl Richard. Very sorry you lost her. Every breeder that's bred boas for more then a few years has been there. You do everything right and something like this happens. I've come to the conclusion that it's same as breeding any animal that gives live birth; horses, dogs, etc. There is always a risk.

Glad to hear you have a few live babies to carry her bloodline on.

Yes john you are right and this is not the first one that has died during breeding season. It just hit me a little harder as i produced her raised her for 5 years and now shes gone.

Richard- sorry about your loss- she was a beautiful girl! I lost a beautiful Lipstick albino girl that was full of babies and she gave me a great litter a couple years ago. I'm finding out all the time, if you want your boas to live longer, don't breed them!
