Dilemma...

kevinvs Apr 29, 2012 12:38 PM

The good news is my first clutch ever was hatched either yesterday or today. The bad news is that I will not be home until Thursday to move them into an incubator. My mom isn't particularly comfortable moving them by herself, so my question is, is waiting until Thursday to long of a time frame to move the eggs form natural to artificial incubation?

I think you mean laid not hatched.... I don't know what you can do other than leave them if no one will/can move them for you. Time really isn't a factor if the conditions are good. The conditions the eggs are in are the factors(temp, humidity, ...is mom a good mom?).... Etc...

Guess you'll find out when you get home. . Good luck!

Yes, I did mean laid, not hatched. Just a typo there. Well turns out that my incubator is missing its power converter cord so we are going the natural way for now. What a waste of $100... Any idea where to get the power cord for a MR-148 style incubator?
