lethargic lizard, HELP!

troy13 Oct 04, 2003 02:53 PM

my collard has not been eating for 3 weeks and is starting to lose weight. He is still shedding. He's in a 30 gallon with a 75 watt bulb, I do not have a flourescent uva/uvb light. He usually eats about 5-8 crickets a day. He has never done this before. I have had him for a little over a year and he has stopped eating while he was shedding, but not for this amount of time. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I don't know if this is right or not....but it sounds like the cage may not be warm enough and also uva and uvb are really important. I keep my lizards' tank at over 100 degrees. If they aren't eating but are still active, you probably don't have anything to worry about.
