Off topic post, but if you've seen the Open Discussion Forum lately you know it's preoccupied with terrorism, Iraq, NK, and politics. I know there are some very intelligent, caring people on this forum so if you haven't seen this already, it's interesting, albeit depressing, reading.

He had a brain tumor but was still making a promising recovery. His wife transferred him to a hospital that was meant for handling those kinds of cases. What they did was pump too much medication into him until he finally overdosed, but it was a slow process that also starved him. This happened just a couple years ago. Most of my mom's family is overseas (where it took place), so I know it was really hard for her not to be there.
