My albino getula laid 9 bad eggs over 11 days. She did not eat for the last three weeks prior to this... She seems like she is in great shape very active but she looks half her post pregnancy size... I don't have a scale. She has taken down 10 small rat pups since Sunday.
Any thoughts on a double clutch? If she can put the weight on of course... Perhaps one of you has done this with or without sucess.
Thanks

Nine bad eggs over an 11 day period had to be stressful on her. I myself would not try to double clutch that animal, especially because you say she looks thin in addition. Just my thoughts.

I agree......sounds like another futile attempt with infertility will be harmful or fatal......

Did you truly brumate your kings?

I thought so... no john they were not properly brumated due to texas weather. My collection now justifies creating a chamber of some sort. That's the plan anyways. Thanks guys.

I had a grayband lay a clutch of 9 all infertile eggs and then without even breeding her again she laid another smaller clutch of 6 with 3 fertile eggs that hatched. 2 of the hatchlings were typical and 1 was kinda runty.

So if they can lay a good clutch without even breeding again I imagine it couldn't hurt to let her breed again.

Was either snake brumated? The weather here pevented me from giving the snakes less than 65 degrees. Most of the time they were between 65 and 80... warm winter the thought of another infertile clutch scares me more than breeding again honestly
