The future of Blood Boas....

robertmcphee May 04, 2012 04:00 PM

Well I believe that between the Jon Berry line and the 50% Nicaraguan bloods, we aint seen nothing yet!
These are truly the most amazing looking bloods I have seen in person. I have not seen Mr. Matlocks F2 Berry Bloods in person yet though....
These are a month old now and are looking incredible.
The Blood is a female (shed twice) and the Blood Motley is a male (shed once).

Wow that is amazing Bob that pure Blood ( Part McPhee Nic part St. Perrier Line ) of yours is and has amazing color as a baby.

I can see this baby maturing and not getting the muddy dark coloration that inhihibts the great brigt orange and red coloration.

I believe the most colorful I've seen in person were Chris Gilberts Hog Blood mix offspring.

I saw them and Dr. Matlocks pure Berry Bloods at the Tinley show last year .

In my opinion Chris Gilberts were far Brighter and had the qualities that could lead to a non dark muddy Blood adult.

Although I do not know how these babies of Mr. Gilberts will appear as adults.

I notice that the Hog Blood mix Boas Chris has from Dr. Kirby that produced Mr. Gilberts litters.

Those adults ( Part Blood Part Hog Adults ) that Dr. Kirby produced and Mr. Gilbert retains have almost become too light and washed out as adults IMO.

So maybe we are looking for middle ground type Boa and yours is that Boa who knows . . . . . .

Those are amazing bloods Bob. Congrats. Imagine them as a sunglow blood or albino blood or when you breed your blood motleys into them. Its an awsome project and I wish you the best. Mike Panichi

those are great Bob. i think the true future of bloods is if at 4 foot in size and still have this color. I have a number from Lucas' litter last year and they're still looking as nice at 2 foot as they were as neonates, im crossing my finger i can still say this 2 feet from now. i love bloods, darker or brighter, as the bring more a lot of stuff to the table i.e. size, black eyes, etc. but the point of this post is clean red coloratin and that is what im replying to, but regardless of what happens in another 2 feet, im still very happy with those bloods and all the bloods ive produced and gotten from others over the years.
