Couple of GB's

joecop May 05, 2012 08:15 PM

The first pic is of a mildly gravid 277. Second pic and after are of my nine mile male. This guy is darkening up and has those bright white borders and white belly. Stunning animal and only getting better IMO.

Wow, they are very nice!

Thanks Ross. I have several more pairs but I have not photographed them. Every time that nine mile sheds its like a new animal. Very cool snakes.
By the way, it is killing me that I cannot find the photo of that cal king from Mt. Hamilton. Still kicking myself for not keeping that animal.

That's fine, man. Just keep it in mind and if you ever find it, you can send it. I'm just happy I was able to get the "conjuncta" pictures.

This one was found about 10 miles north of mt hamilton in milpitas on a night drive...photo and released...Dave

Cool. They look nice in that area.

Both very pretty. Good luck with the 277 clutch. Keep us posted...Dave

joecop May 05, 2012 09:59 PM

Thanks bro. I will def. post photos of what I hope is a good clutch. She looks LOADED with eggs too. I will take some photos of that nine mile at the end of season to show how much he changes too. Crazy awesome animals. I feel a new addiction coming on!!! I wish I had Bob's (pyromaniac) gravid fence lizards. I am going to need them!!!! LOL

Joe

you are right about the lizards. I live in fence lizard country and had to use some for scenting to get half my clutch from last season to eat. I also still have one holdback who only eats lizards despite many scenting attempts. Bob certainly has the right idea breeding them...Dave.

All very nice Joe....
My favorites are the darkest ones with white borders and bright orange......
Your 9 miler will be an impressive adult!

Thanks John. Yeah, I think so too. He is getting darker with every shed and I think will be very dark as an adult with white borders and bright orange. I have a black gap female that is doing the same thing.

Nice Joe! Is the 277 females bred to a 277 male? I just lost my female which I had super high hopes for. Good luck with them.

Jorge, yes I have an adult pair of 277's that I got from Dell. She was bred to him. You know I keep it locale as possible!!! I believe Dell got the parents from Blair.

Wow Joe, those are killer! I really like the washed out look in the orange on that 9 mi'er. Good luck with that soon to be clutch of eggs!

joecop May 06, 2012 07:56 PM

Thanks Jimmy. He is my favorite GB at this point. I like them all, but I too love the look he has. I can't wait to see how many eggs that pig of a 277 throws. Of course I hope they are fertile first.
